With Gallup&#8217;s research showing only 13% of workers as engaged, it&#8217;s not hard to conclude that most employees aren&#8217;t\u00a0&#8220;feelin&#8217; the love&#8221; and KPI&#8217;s suffer as a result.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Monday morning. Do you know\u00a0if you are leading with trust?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Record\u00a0the following over the course of the week:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Percentage of employees who arrive to work on time.<\/li>\n<li>Percentage of employees who call in sick.<\/li>\n<li>Percentage of employees who leave work early.<\/li>\n<li>Number of excuses for work not completed.<\/li>\n<li>Number of fires you need to\u00a0extinguish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Also count the number of times you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Come down out of your ivory tower and on to the shop floor.<\/li>\n<li>Ask an employee about their family and kids.<\/li>\n<li>Praise someone for a job well done or pat them on the back.<\/li>\n<li>Hold an impromptu celebration or an ice cream party.<\/li>\n<li>Ask for feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Trustworthy leaders look up, walk around and engage with their employees. Practiced daily, your\u00a0KPI&#8217;s will soar.
