12 Keys to Trusted Strategic Partnerships<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Really understand one another\u2019s business<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Invest in connecting as human beings beyond the business role<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Know how you each make money<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Tell the truth (even when it\u2019s awkward, embarrassing, or could cost you business)<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Don\u2019t commit to more than you can do well (repeat this one 3 times)<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Don\u2019t play games\u2026 EVER<\/em><\/li>\n
  7. Don\u2019t wine and dine\u2026 the best deals are done over chopsticks or a long walk<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Lose some battles, admit when you\u2019re wrong<\/em><\/li>\n
  9. Let logic prevail, even when contracts are on \u201cyour side\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. Don\u2019t sweat the small stuff<\/em><\/li>\n
  11. Think long-term<\/em><\/li>\n
  12. Reward trusted partnerships with more business\/effort<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
