Over 2000 companies are independently screened through our custom FIDES\u2122 software using our <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1GHV62j\">proprietary Framework called FACTS\u00ae<\/a>, ranking the trustworthiness of companies on five primary indicators of trustworthiness: Financial stability, Accounting conservativeness, Corporate governance, Transparency and Sustainability. No internal assessments or surveys are completed and companies do not know they are being analyzed.<\/p>\n<p>This past April\u00a0we released our\u00a0fifth year of findings and named our <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/R5DLJc\">Top Ten Most Trustworthy Public Companies<\/a> (over 5 years.)<\/p>\n<p>What do the CEOs of these &#8220;Top 10&#8221; companies have in common and how do their profiles compare to the &#8220;least trustworthy&#8221; in our model?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Most Trustworthy Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All are men<\/li>\n<li>All were born between 1950 and 1960<\/li>\n<li>All were promoted from within to CEO<\/li>\n<li>Seven of the ten have been the CEO for at least five years (well above the national average CEO tenure)<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate education is diverse and less than half have MBAs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We then took one additional step, reviewing the profiles of the CEOs from the ten LEAST trustworthy companies (with market capitalization over $10 billion) and here&#8217;s what we found:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Least Trustworthy Profiles:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All are men<\/li>\n<li>Born between 1934 and 1967<\/li>\n<li>Five of the ten were promoted from within (three of the five became CEO through mergers)<\/li>\n<li>Six of the ten have been CEO for over five years<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate education is diverse and one has no college degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What conclusions, if any, should be drawn from this small study?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Barbara Brooks Kimmel<\/b>\u00a0has been the Executive Director of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trustacrossamerica.com\/index.shtml\"><span class=\"s1\">Trust Across America-Trust Around the World<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>since its founding in 2008. Barbara runs the world&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trustacrossamerica.com\/cgi-bin\/alliance.cgi\"><span class=\"s1\">largest organizational trust membership program<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">. <\/span><span class=\"s3\">She is also the<\/span>\u00a0editor of the award winning\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trustacrossamerica.com\/order.shtml\"><span class=\"s1\">TRUST INC.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0book series and the Executive Editor of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trustacrossamerica.com\/magazine.shtml\"><span class=\"s1\">TRUST!
